Responsible Gaming
In the Niksoli poker room, gambling is entertainment — never a way to make money. This is our commitment, and these are the tools at your disposal.
Adults 18+ only
Access to the poker room and participation in play are restricted to adults aged 18+, with photo ID required. The restaurant and events are open to all ages; the card room is a separate, controlled area.
What responsible gaming means
Playing responsibly means staying in control: deciding in advance how much time and money you are willing to spend, treating the game as entertainment and stopping when it stops being fun. The outcome of a session should never compromise your wellbeing or that of the people around you.
Warning signs
Watch for signs that gambling may be becoming unhealthy:
- Playing longer or spending more than you planned
- Chasing losses with new bets
- Borrowing money to play
- Hiding your play from family or friends
- Feeling anxiety, irritation or guilt connected to gambling
- Neglecting work, family or other responsibilities
Self-control tools
- Set a budget before each visit and do not exceed it
- Set time limits and take breaks — the bar and the restaurant are two steps away
- Do not play under the influence of alcohol, fatigue or stress
- Never chase losses — the game is entertainment, not an investment
- Talk to the team: we can discreetly explain the options available
Self-exclusion
Self-exclusion lets you voluntarily block your own access to gambling for a period of your choosing. In Portugal there is a self-exclusion register managed by the regulator (SRIJ). If you feel it is the right option for you, our team will provide information and guide you to the proper process, in full confidence.
Protection of minors
Access to the room is controlled and no poker-room communication is directed at people under 18. The restaurant and events welcome families; the card room is physically separate and signposted.
