Our Story
The story of Niksoli: a Lisbon house devoted to good food, gatherings and conviviality.
A house with memory
The Niksoli building was born at the end of the nineteenth century as a family home, with the river in the distance and Lisbon at the door. It became an office, then a warehouse, then it waited. When we found it, it had the essentials: good walls and good light.
We restored it with a simple idea — to give it back the life of a house that hosts. Today the ground floor is restaurant and bar; the first floor welcomes meetings and celebrations; the upper floor keeps the poker room, for adults aged 18+.
The name, Niksoli, arrived the way good house names do: first among friends, then across the city. From the terrace windows you can still see the Tejo — in Lisbon, always where the stories begin.
What we want to be
We do not want to be the most talked-about restaurant in town — we want to be the house you come back to. The place of the lunch that goes well, the dinner that runs long, the meeting that ends with a toast and the game of cards among friends, played calmly and responsibly.
